The PAM Flying Platform

PAM100B

The "PAM 100 B" flying platform was created by Performance Aviation Manufacturing. It is called an Individual Lifting Vehicle (ILV) and is intended to allow anybody to have their own personal flying vehicle in the backyard or garage. The company says the vehicle can soar over trees and houses and requires pilot skills comparable to those needed to ride a motor bike. Control of the ILV is obtained by simply having the pilot shift his body weight. It was intended to develop the aircraft as a kit for sale in the United States.

An announcement on the PAM website dated April 22, 2008 stated "The PAM 100B ILV has been sold to AirBuoyant LLC of Anderson, IN. Pete Bitar of AirBuoyant will be aggressively building and marketing this type of personal air vehicle along with his smaller VertiPod design."
